Consular Services

The Consular Section looks after the interests of British nationals visiting or living in Burma.

The 2009 Remembrance Day Ceremony in Burma will be held on the Sunday 8 November.

Consular Section Opening Hours

Monday to Thursday: 08.00 - 12.30 and 13.30 - 16.30
Friday 08.00: - 13.00

Applications for consular fee-bearing services can be made at the following times

Monday to Friday: 09.00 – 12.00

British Embassy officials are not allowed to travel freely outside Rangoon without prior permission of the Burmese government, except to a limited number of destinations. Consular assistance in an emergency may therefore be restricted or delayed.
